Attorney General Debate Tonight

From the Arizona Capitol Times -
A debate scheduled Wednesday evening between candidates for state attorney general is still on though it no longer is sponsored by the state’s public campaign finance system.
Since both candidates, Democrat Felecia Rotellini and Republican Tom Horne, are utilizing "traditional" campaign financing, the debate isn't sponsored by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission.  Hence the reason that I missed this one when in the post earlier this week listing debates and events (it wasn't on CE's list of debates.)

The debate will air at 7 tonight on KAET (PBS 8).

Just watched the debate here. I must say Felecia Rotellini brought it on. I thought she won the debate hands down.

I am worried though that every election this November will be a referendum on HB1070 which is exactly what Tom Horne tried to make this debate all about.

But, man, Rotellini was tough as nails in this debate. Good to see.

Pamela -

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I'm not sure if it was aired in Tucson. It *is* available online (see Tempe Turley's comment for the link to KAET's video archive of the program).

katie -

Glad to be of help. :)

Tempe Turley -

Thanks for the link.

I like all of the D statewide candidates, but I especially like Felecia. Combine her smarts, energy, and tenaciousness with an ethically weak R candidate, and she may be the D most likely to prevail in November (though at least two of the others have really good chances, but their battles will be more uphill).

You're correct though - Horne and the rest of the R candidates want to make this year all about SB1070. If they succeed, they could sweep everything.
